Frequently Asked Questions

I want to know more about elevator shoes without having to read so much. Can you help me?

Yes. We have a short 15-second video and a more informative 2-minute video.

Do elevator shoes look strange?

No. Our elevator shoes are cleverly constructed, so people won't notice that you're wearing them. Our European designer styles are popular and on-trend. All our styles that offer up to 8cm show a regular-sized heel of 2-3cm with the extra height hidden inside the shoe. Our 9-13cm styles are bulkier as it is difficult to conceal such a large increase. However, when worn with suitable pants, the height-increase is concealed.

Are your elevator shoes heavy?

No. Our elevator shoes are designed to be lightweight and durable.

Do you have a physical store?

Yes. Check our store locations here.

If I can't visit your store, how can I purchase your elevator shoes?

We are exclusive Australian designers of elevator shoes and the only company in Australia who sells them. You can purchase them here on our website. We offer free delivery Australia-wide and express post worldwide. Exchanges and refunds are easy to organise.

How long does delivery take?

How do I choose my size?

If you don't know your shoe size, use our size suggestion guide to measure your feet. If you have broad feet, we suggest selecting one European size larger than you normally would. Our size suggestion guide also illustrates the difference between US, UK, Australian and European sizes.

What if I don't like your elevator shoes?

If you receive your elevator shoes and find them unsuitable, you can exchange or return them for a refund. Please read our return policy for details.

I haven't worn elevator shoes before. What do you recommend?

Whilst all our shoes provide plenty of cushioning and support, the most comfortable are our casual styles. We recommend trying a style that offers 6-8cm.

Will they permanently increase my height?

No, they won't permanently increase your height. Think of them as hidden heels for men, except with plenty of support for maximum comfort.

How long will they last?

If you're wearing them everyday, a well-made pair of shoes should last over a year. The height-increase shouldn't diminish either, as we use high quality polyurethane shoe lifts. Apply leather conditioner and polish regularly to preserve and protect the leather. You can also prevent the heels from wearing out by not digging the back of the heels into the ground with each stride.

Why don't you design thicker shoe lifts?

We used to design thicker shoe lifts, but we quickly noticed that customers could not fit them into their regular shoes. They usually caused the wearer's heels to slip out or made the shoes uncomfortably tight. So be careful of websites that sell shoe lifts that claim to offer more height than 1.6cm. If you'd like more height than 1.6cm, our elevator shoes offer 6-13cm.

How often do you design new styles?

We design and introduce new styles for each season.

Besides height-increasing shoes, how can I appear taller?

Apart from major surgery, there is nothing you can do to increase your destined height. Hormone pills, diet and exercises won't increase your height. However, there are many ways you can make yourself appear taller. If you're slim, well-fitted clothes will make you look taller. If you're not slim, dark clothes with vertical stripes will make you look slimmer and give the appearance of being taller. If you change from a slouched to upright posture, you can appear two inches taller!

Should I be taller than my bride on our wedding day?

Many brides prefer their grooms to be taller on their wedding day. This allows them to wear high heels without towering over their grooms, especially in the photos.

Do you design women's elevator shoes?

Whilst we don't specifically design women's elevator shoes, many women have purchased our sneakers, boots, casual and dress styles for themselves, not to mention our 1.6cm shoe lifts that can be inserted into any shoes for a little extra height and cushioning.

Can I exercise in height-increasing sports shoes?

Yes. Many of our customers wear our height-increasing casual styles at the gym for weight-training exercises. Many professional dancers wear our dress styles and thousands of grooms have danced in them.

Can you convert my regular shoes into elevator shoes?

No. Elevator shoes imply that the height-increase is hidden. If you want to add more height to your regular shoes, you can either insert small shoe lifts or add an extra heel to the outside. Adding an extra heel on the outside is obvious and won't be as comfortable, as well-designed elevator shoes have a steady gradient of cushioning throughout the shoe.

The shoes I ordered are a little tight. Will they stretch?

Yes, all our shoes will stretch and soften after a few weeks of wear. However, the shoes should feel snug in the beginning, not uncomfortably tight. Try wearing thinner socks. If you still find them too tight, just send us an enquiry and we'll help you organise an exchange for a larger size.

The shoes I ordered are a little big. What options do I have?

Try wearing thicker socks to fill out the space. You'd be surprised how much difference a pair of socks can make. If that fails, try inserting our shoe lifts into your elevator shoes. This will help fill the space and provide extra height and cushioning. If you'd prefer to exchange them for a smaller size, send us an enquiry and we'll help you.

Why are your elevator shoes so expensive?

Our elevator shoes are not expensive, considering the fact that they're designed in Australia and handcrafted from premium quality leather.

I have one leg shorter than the other. Can you help me?

Yes, we've helped many men and women with a leg length discrepancy. Please read our page dedicated to customers with a leg length discrepancy.

Can I wear orthotics in my elevator shoes?

Yes, you should be able to. Many of our customers wear orthotics in their elevator shoes including some of our own staff members. If you're ordering our shoes online and wish to insert your orthotics, we recommend selecting one European size larger than you normally would. If your orthotics have a very high arch, then we recommend selecting two European sizes larger than you normally would.

Are elevator shoes a gimmick?

Absolutely not. Our shoes have helped many men feel more confident. Women gain up to 6 inches by wearing high heels. Our shoes allow men to add some extra height too. The average height of our customers is 5'10, with many men over 6' wearing them for jobs in the security industry. Feel free to read our article about celebrities who wear elevator shoes.
