FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
I want to know more about elevator shoes without having to read so much. Can you help me? Yes. We have an informative 2-minute video to view.
Do the shoes look weird? No. Our shoes are designed to look normal, so people won't notice that you're wearing them. We pride ourselves on fashionable styles that are popular and on trend. All our styles that provide a height-increase of 6-8cm look like regular, stylish shoes, even when they're off your feet. Our 10cm styles have larger heels as it is difficult to conceal 10cm. However, when worn with non-slim pants, the height-increase is hidden.
Are the shoes heavy? No. Our elevator shoes aren't heavy. They're about an average weight of well-made shoes. Our sneakers are designed to be lightweight and durable.
Where are your store locations? We have one store in Melbourne. We're located at 91 Johnston St, Collingwood, which is only 1km from the CBD. Be sure to check our weekly updated trading hours. All our stock is located here.
I'm not in Melbourne. How do I purchase elevator shoes? We are exclusive Australian designers of elevator shoes and the only company in Australia that sells them. You can purchase them here on our website. We offer free delivery Australia-wide and express post worldwide.
How long does delivery take? We dispatch all orders within 1 business day, as long as you place your order before 3pm EST. If you're in Australia, click here to check our delivery speed. If you're overseas, click here.
How do I choose my size? If you already know your shoe size, you can select the same size for our shoes. If you have broad feet, we suggest selecting one European size larger than you normally would. Our size suggestion guide illustrates the difference between US, UK, Australian and European sizes.
What if I don't like them? If you order our shoes and find that they're not comfortable, you can try exchanging them for a different style with a lower height-increase. If you'd prefer a refund, just send them back within 21 days of the purchase date. Please read our return policy for details.
I haven't worn elevator shoes before. Which style should I start with? Our sneakers are the most comfortable of our elevator shoes. Having said that, all our elevator shoes are comfortable to wear. But if you want to ease into them, try our sneakers or casual range and start with a low increase, like 6cm. You should find them immediately comfortable.
Will they permanently increase my height? Strangely, this is a question that has been asked many times. No, they don't permanently increase your height. Think of them as hidden heels for men, except with a lot of cushioning and support for maximum comfort.
Why don't you design elevator shoes that offer more height than 10cm? We don't design elevator shoes that offer more height than 10cm because anything higher would be too difficult to walk in. In addition, it is already difficult to conceal such a height-increase as 10cm, so anything more would make the shoes look very strange and unfashionable. We want our customers to be able to walk comfortably and stylishly in our shoes.
How long will they last? It depends on how often you wear them and whether you look after them. If you're wearing them all day, everyday, a well-made pair of shoes should last over a year. The height-increase shouldn't diminish either, as we use high quality polyurethane shoe lifts. You can look after them by keeping them clean and dry. Applying leather conditioner and polish a few times a year will also help preserve the leather. You can also prevent the heels from wearing out by not digging the back of the heels into the ground with every stride.
Why don't you design thicker shoe lifts? We used to design thicker shoe lifts, but we quickly noticed that customers could not fit them into their regular shoes. They usually caused the wearer's heels to slip out or made the shoes uncomfortably tight. So be careful of websites that sell shoe lifts that claim to offer more height than 2cm. If you'd like more height than 2cm, our elevator shoes offer 6-10cm.
Is your site updated regularly with stock levels? Yes, we update our website every day, so if the size isn't available on our website, then we've unfortunately sold out.
How often do you design new styles? We are constantly designing new styles and introduce new styles for each winter and summer season.
Besides height-increasing shoes, how can I appear taller? Apart from major surgery, there is nothing you can do to increase your destined height. Hormone pills, diet and exercises won't increase your height. However, there are many ways you can make yourself appear taller. A slimmer person will always appear taller. If you wear baggy clothes, ditch them and wear close-fitting clothes. Dark shirts with vertical stripes will also make you look slimmer and give the appearance of being taller. A good, upright posture is also important as it makes a person look confident, commanding and of course, taller than he otherwise would be if he were slouching.
Should I be taller than my fiance on our wedding day? Depends on whether you're the bride or groom. It definitely looks much better in photos when the groom is taller than the bride.
Do you design women's elevator shoes? No. Women have purchased our sneakers for casual wear, but we don't specifically design elevator shoes for women. Women already make men feel short when they're wearing their 5' heels. Men can now feel more confident during the dating-game and forever after.
Can I exercise in height-increasing sports shoes? Yes. Many of our customers wear our height-increasing cross trainers at the gym for weight-training exercises. We also have customers who are professional dancers who wear our formal shoes, not to mention the thousands of grooms who dance in them on their wedding days.
Can you convert my regular shoes into elevator shoes? No. Elevator shoes implies that the height-increase is hidden. If you want to add more height to your regular shoes, you can either insert small shoe lifts or add an extra heel to the outside. Adding an extra heel on the outside will be obvious and won't be as comfortable, as properly designed elevator shoes have a steady gradient of cushioning throughout the shoe.
The shoes I ordered are a little tight. Will they stretch? Yes, all our shoes will stretch and soften after a few weeks of wear. However, the shoes should feel snug in the beginning, not uncomfortably tight. Try wearing thinner socks. If you still find them too tight, just send us an enquiry and we'll help you organise an exchange for a larger size.
The shoes I ordered are a little big. What options do I have? You have three options. 1. Try wearing thicker socks to fill out the space. 2. Try inserting our shoe lifts inside your elevator shoes. This will help fill the space and provide extra height and cushioning. 3. Send us an enquiry and we'll help you organise an exchange for a smaller size.
Why are your elevator shoes so expensive? Only some customers think our elevator shoes are expensive. We design the best quality elevator shoes in the world. Our products are designed for fashionable customers who want shoes that last the test of time, not customers who are trying to get a bargain. The bottom line is, quality products cost more to produce.
I have one leg shorter than the other. Can you help me? Yes, we've helped many men and women with a leg length discrepancy. Our shoe lifts provide an extra height of 1.2cm or 1.6cm, so all you need to do is just use one shoe lift for the shorter leg.
Can I wear my orthotics in my elevator shoes? Yes, you should be able to. Many of our customers wear orthotics in their elevator shoes including some of our own staff members. If you're ordering our shoes online and wish to insert your orthotics, we recommend selecting one European size larger than you normally would. If your orthotics have a very high arch, then we recommend selecting two European sizes larger than you normally would. If you're considering purchasing our 10cm elevator shoes, we probably wouldn't recommend using your orthotics in them, as they are already quite high and the orthotics will just increase the elevation.
Are elevator shoes a gimmick? Absolutely not. Though some people may think of men's height-increasing shoes as a joke, our shoes have helped many men feel more confident about themselves. It is a disappointing fact that height plays such an important role in our society in terms of stature, appearance and authority. Our shoes aren't just worn by short men. We have helped many police officers, bouncers and security guards become taller than they already are. Many open-minded customers purchase our shoes to look taller next to their partners.
