Taller.com.au supports Chloe Smith's artwork. Her jewellery is uniquely designed and handcrafted in Melbourne. Each piece is born from the inspiration of the Melbourne urban landscape, travels to South East Asia and China and an appreciation of historical and contemporary design.  The concepts of recycling, reworking and appropriating play a big role in the initial development of the jewellery and the use of fragments from the designers own artworks is the starting point for a lot of the designs. These works consist of pop culture images, photographs, Japanese origami paper, materials and the artist’s own drawings and patterns.

Chloe's jewellery is superbly handcrafted and features the resourceful use of materials such as sterling silver, stainless steel, brass, resin and acrylic. For anyone who wants to add more than just an accessory to their wardrobe, Chloe & Dominique jewellery is wearable art that reflects a continual fascination with colour, form and the mesmerising world around us.

About the designer – Chloe Smith

Chloe Smith is a designer, jeweller, visual artist and musician. She has been making and creating art all her life and has always been surrounded by inspiring, creative people.

She has completed an Advanced Diploma in Engineering Jewellery at NMIT and has created design for websites, CD covers, promotional material and private commissions.

“I am attracted to the idea of the unintentional amalgamation of colour, lines and objects in day to day life. I am fascinated with the juxtaposition of a quick aggressive gesture against a slow, considered line and the coupling of the abstract with representational forms.”
